Chris Kermode

Executive Chairman & President

Monte Carlo, Monaco
Chris Kermode began serving as ATP Executive Chairman & President on 1 January 2014. Following his career as a professional player, Kermode worked as one of London’s top tennis coaches. He went on to work in both the film and music industries, starting his own promotion & events company, before returning to tennis. Kermode and his wife, Adelle, have three children, Tess, Ellie and Sam. He is based in the ATP’s Monaco office.
ATP Involvement
Kermode has been involved in tennis for more than 30 years, first as a player, and then more recently serving as Tournament Director of the Aegon Championships at Queen’s Club, as well as Managing Director of the season-ending Nitto ATP Finals. The ATP’s crown jewel event in London has welcomed more than 1.5 million fans to The O2 arena whilst under his leadership, since 2009. Kermode also enjoyed a hugely successful tenure as Tournament Director of the Aegon Championships at Queen’s Club, culminating in the tournament’s re-categorisation as an ATP Tour 500 event from 2015.

David Egdes

Player Representative

Encino, California, USA
David Egdes was elected for his first term in June 2008. The South African native serves as Senior Vice President of Tennis Industry Relations at Tennis Channel in Santa Monica, Calif. David joined the network after serving for five years as Vice President of World Team Tennis in Los Angeles and has close to 10 years of professional tennis experience as an executive and agent at IMG.
ATP Involvement
Began serving as Player Board Representative for the International region in January 2009, and was re-elected for a second three-year term starting January 2012. After serving in an interim capacity since late 2018, Egdes was elected in March 2019 to serve through to December 31, 2020.

Alex Inglot

Player Representative

London, United Kingdom
Alex Inglot was elected in May 2018. Born and based in London, after studying law at Oxford University he spent five years working as a lawyer in two leading corporate law firms in London's City. After a short stint leading the transition of top Mexican football team Atlante to its new home in Quintana Roo, he spent three years at JTA working as a Communications Senior Consultant for clients such as WADA, Manchester United, Sochi 2014 Organising Committee and the AELTC. Since 2014, he has been the Director of Communications & Public Affairs at Sportradar, a global leader in sports data, content and integrity. 
ATP Involvement
Inglot began serving a three and a half-year term as Player Board representative for the European Region from May, 2018.

Weller Evans

Player Representative

Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, United States

Beginning in 1981, Weller Evans was one of the ATP's two tour managers, travelling over 40 weeks a year dealing with all player-related issues at ATP events and all the Grand Slams. In addition to his tour manager duties, Evans served from 1985 through 1989 as one of the three player representatives on the Men's Tennis Council, the governing body of men's professional tennis at the time.

In 1990, with the creation of the ATP Tour, Evans assumed responsibility for the ATP's Player Services Department while continuing to travel as a tour manager to 20 tournaments per year. On everything from rankings to rules, entries to prize money, Evans worked for every ATP member on the international tennis scene until his retirement in January, 2006. He was also a member of the ATP Competition Committee from 2011-2013.

ATP Involvement
Evans began serving as Player Board representative for the Americas Region in June, 2019, and he will fill that spot until 31 December 2019.

Gavin Forbes

Tournament Representative

Cleveland, Ohio, USA
Gavin Forbes was elected in November 2008. The Senior Vice President of International Management Group (IMG), Forbes has been involved with tennis throughout his life. His father, Gordon, played professional tennis. Forbes is based out of the IMG headquarters in Cleveland.

American representative on Board of Directors since January 2009.

Charles Humphrey Smith

Tournament Representative

Shanghai, China
An ATP Board member since 2011, Charles Smith is the Managing Director/International of Juss Event, China’s largest sports/events management company which stages the Rolex Shanghai Masters and China’s Formula 1 race. For his contribution to sports and culture in China, Smith has been awarded both the Silver and Gold Magnolia awards from the Shanghai Government.
ATP Involvement
Smith has a 25 year history in professional tennis in North America and Asia and has been involved with staging every level of ATP tournament. Smith led the efforts to secure and stage the highly successful Shanghai Tennis Masters Cup in 2002, 2005-2008, followed by the award winner Shanghai Rolex Masters 1000. He has been an ATP International Group Council member since 2000.
Herwig Straka

Herwig Straka

Tournament Representative

Vienna, Austria

Herwig Straka was elected in November 2018. After studying law and business in Austria, he started his career in banking in New York before he turned to tennis. In 1991 he founded the e|motion group, an event and live marketing company, which owns and promotes sporting events in different areas (tennis, golf, football, mountain-biking). He is also actively involved in athlete management, including tennis players like former World No. 1 Thomas Muster.

ATP Involvement
Straka has a long-lasting history in tennis, running successful events on all levels of the ATP (ATP Tour, ATP Champions Tour, ATP Challenger Tour) and ITF (Davis Cup). He is currently the tournament director of the ATP 500 event in Vienna. Straka has been serving on several boards in men’s tennis, among others as a member of the ATP Tournament Council since 2010.
