Watch: River Tennis Kicks Off Portoroz Challenger
The ATP Challenger Tour features tournaments in picturesque locations throughout the world and next week's Tilia Slovenia Open, located in the stunning coastal town of Portoroz, is no exception.
Nestled on the Adriatic Sea on the southwestern tip of Slovenia, Portoroz plays host to a €42,500 event on the Challenger circuit. On Wednesday, the festivities commenced in grand fashion on the nearby Ljubljanica River in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana.
Defending champion Blaz Kavcic, who is unable to compete this year due to a thigh injury, participated in a river hit with Slovenian junior Sven Lah as part of the tournament's promotional launch. Watch Video
