Hungary's First ATP Tour Event
In 2017, Budapest replaced the former ATP 250 event in Bucharest, Romania. It marked the first time that Hungary hosted an ATP Tour tournament. Italian men have triumphed in the two most recent editions of the event. Marco Cecchinato captured his first ATP Tour crown in 2018 and Matteo Berrettini lifted the trophy in 2019.
